For families, Northbrook’s most attractive feature may just be its schools. From kindergarten through high school, Northbrook’s educational system is among the best in the state. Graduates from Glenbrook North High School achieve some of the highest test scores in the state and attend colleges and universities across the country. In 1997, President Bill Clinton visited the district to congratulate 8th-grade students for the highest scores in the world on a global science test.
